Christy M. Perry, President
"Christy takes care of all of my insurance needs. As far as I am concerned, she is the
insurance goddess." —Evan Moulton, Dublin, Ohio
Christy Perry had nearly fifteen years of management experience in the property and casualty
insurance industry before she opened the agency. She began her career as a spreadsheet wizard in
the actuarial track at a small auto insurance MGA in Nashville, Tennessee, and was promoted to
Vice President within eighteen months. She left that organization in 1997 to join several other
executive in founding The Vision Insurance Group LLC, an MGA focusing on auto insurance. As with
all startup organizations, you must wear many hats, so Ms. Perry founded the Actuarial Services
department, the Product Development department, and the IT department. During her tenure as Vice
President of Product Development, she was responsible for bringing up auto insurance products in
Tennessee, Ohio, Florida, California, Texas, Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, and Arkansas. In
only a few years, they took the operation from a mere vision to an $85,000,000 operation.
Following the sale of Vision to Alfa Insurance Group in 2004, Ms. Perry joined Nationwide Insurance
as a product manager in Nashville. Within three months after she began, four hurricanes ripped
through Florida, leaving devastating communities across the state. During the following months she
saw Nationwide deliver truckloads of bottled water, baby formula, and diapers to anyone in the
affected communities, whether or not they were insured by Nationwide. This wasn’t required by any
contract, but Nationwide did it because people in those communities needed it. That was when Ms.
Perry learned the true value of a good insurance company, one truly committed to helping people at
the times that they need it most.
Ms. Perry was promoted to Product Director in 2005 and relocated to the home office in Columbus,
Ohio. She was promoted again and appointed as an officer in 2006, responsible for product
management of all Specialty Auto products in eight states. She was also given responsibility for the
Victoria products sold by independent agents in three of those states, and was charged with creating
new Victoria products in the remainder of her states, as well as introducing the Titan brand and
opening company-owned storefronts.
One of Ms. Perry’s responsibilities was helping agents understand more about their target market,
understand what their competitors were doing, and use this information to market more effectively to
these potential customers. She left the Nationwide home office in 2007 to open her own agency so
that she could apply these things herself.
Ms. Perry has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from St. John’s College and a Master of
Sciences degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Middle Tennessee State University. She has
completed Exams 1 and 2 of the Casualty Actuarial Society. She is licensed for Property, Casualty,
Life, Health, and Variable Products in Ohio.
Ms. Perry opened her agency to pursue another one of her dreams: to help individuals in her
community to sleep better at night, knowing that their dreams are well protected.
